Frank'S Chili
- 4 lb. extra lean ground steak
- 1 lb. extra lean, finely diced smoked kielbasi
- 1 c. finely chopped white onion
- 1 c. finely diced green pepper
- 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 30 oz. canned dark red kidney beans
- 3 (28 oz.) cans tomato puree
- 1 Tbsp. dry cilantro (Spanish parsley)
- 1 Tbsp. dry parsley
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. canola oil or equivalent
- In a large frying pan, add 1 tablespoon oil and chopped onion and garlic.
- Saute on medium heat until lightly browned, then apply the ground steak.
- Put flame up high and keep moving meat around until browned (10 to 15 minutes).
- Turn off heat and set aside.
