Banana Ambrosia Salad With Sherry Dressing Recipe
- Torn red leaf or possibly radicchio lettuce Torn Romaine lettuce
- 3/4 c. Finely minced dry starfruit
- 1 x Pear, thinly sliced
- 2 x Bananas, such as manzano, burro or possibly red, peeled and sliced
- 1 lrg Orange, peeled, halved and sliced
- 1/4 c. Salad oil
- 1/3 c. Dry sherry or possibly vinegar
- 1 tsp Thinly sliced orange peel
- 1/4 tsp Grnd allspice
- 2 tsp Shredded fresh ginger root
- Arrange lettuce on a large serving platter or possibly four salad plates.
- On top of lettuce arrange fruit (dip banana slices in lemon juice to prevent darkening).
- Place dressing ingredients in a shaker jar.
- Cover, shake well, drizzle over salad.
- Makes 5-6 servings.
