Minnesota Style Wild Rice Soup

  1. In a saucepan add all ingredients, and water (I use the soup cans to measure - 2 3/4 cans).
  2. Bring to a full roiling boil, and stir well.
  3. Reduce heat to simmer, and cover.
  4. Simmer for 2 and 1/2 hours.
  5. It takes that long for the wild rice to cook.
  6. Stir occasionally.
  7. Remove bay leaves after 2 hours.
  8. If it's a little thick, add a bit of water.
  9. Enjoy.

water, wild rice, bay leaves, oregano, carrot, vegetable flakes, tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper
