Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies

  1. Stir together first 5 dry ingredients.
  2. Beat margarine and sugar; then add egg and vanilla.
  3. Gradually add flour mixture until blended.
  4. Shape dough into 48 1-inch balls on ungreased cookie sheets.
  5. Press down center with thumb.
  6. Put well drained cherry in center.
  7. Melt chocolate chips and milk over low heat.
  8. Stir in 4 tsp.
  9. reserved cherry syrup.
  10. Spoon 1 tsp.
  11. frosting over each cherry.
  12. Spread to cover.
  13. Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes.
