Pasta Bake with Meat Sauce and Cheese
- 1 lb. fettuccine, uncooked
- 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef Safeway 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 onion, chopped Safeway 1 lb For $1.49 thru 02/09
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups CLASSICO FAMILY FAVORITES Traditional Pasta Sauce
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 2 cups POLLY-O Natural Part Skim Ricotta Cheese
- 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
- Meanwhile, brown meat with onions and garlic in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat.
- Stir in pasta sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Stir in basil and crushed pepper.
- Spread 3/4 cup meat sauce onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Drain pasta; place in medium bowl.
- Add ricotta and half the remaining meat sauce; mix lightly.
- Spoon over meat sauce in baking dish; top with remaining meat sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- or until heated through.
- Let stand 10 min.
