Fried Tofu with Soup Stock

  1. Dry tofu with paper towels.
  2. Cut tofu and coat the tofu with cornstarch.
  3. Oil a frying pan, and fry the tofu till the surface turns crisp and light brown.
  4. Make soup: Put Dashi-no-moto, mirin, and soy sauce in a pan and bring to a boil.
  5. Turn off the heat and mix the cornstarch with water.
  6. Mix it till it becomes sticky.
  7. Put the tofu on a plate and pore the soup on it.
  8. Top with green onion.
