Round Steak Italiano Recipe
- 2 pound round steak, cut 3/4" thick
- 8 ounce. bulk Italian sausage
- 2 (8 ounce.) cans (2 c.) tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 c. apple juice
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
- Cut steak into 8 servings.
- Lb.
- to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- In skillet brown steaks in a small amount of veg.
- oil; remove from skillet.
- In same skillet brown sausage breaking up into small pcs.
- Drain off excess fat.
- Add in tomato sauce, apple juice, onion, garlic salt, oregano and pepper to sausage.
- Return steak to skillet.
- Cover and simmer 50-60 min or possibly till meat is tender.
- Serve over warm buttered noodles.
- Pass grated Parmesan cheese.
