Pickled Eggs Recipe

  1. Cover Large eggs with cool water.
  2. Bring to boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer, 15-18 min, drain.
  3. Run cool water over Large eggs in pan for several min.
  4. Peel eggs.
  5. Place in narrow, deep jar.
  6. Combine vinegar, water, salt, sugar, cloves, bay leaf, warm pepper flakes and 1 tsp.
  7. celery seed.
  8. Simmer 5 min.
  9. Pour warm vinegar solution over Large eggs.
  10. Make sure Large eggs are completely covered with liquid.
  11. Place sliced onions on top of Large eggs.
  12. Cover tightly.
  13. Place in refrigerator - let stand for several days.
