BBQ Asian Beef Short Ribs
- 5 lb Beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup Soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Sherry
- 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp Chinese 5 spice
- 1/2 tsp Powdered ginger
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 cup Hoison sauce
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sherry
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice
- 1/4 tsp Powdered ginger
- Mix marinade and marinated short ribs 24 hours.
- Set up your grill with a 3 Zone fire.
- A double thick layer of hot charcoal in the back, a single layer in the middle and a heat free zone with a drip pan in the front.
- Remove short ribs from marinade and patch as dry as possible.
- Grill short ribs directly over the coals on the back of the grill.
- Rotate and cook on all sides until you have a nice brown crust.
- After browning all sides place on the front of a grill over the drip pan.
- Cook at 300F 2+ hours.
- Mix BBQ sauce and glaze short ribs.
- Cook10+ minutes and glaze again.
- Repeat 2 to 3 more times.
- Let rest 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
