Hattie Jo's Homemade Macaroni
- 12 ounces elbow macaroni
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 12-3 tablespoons flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese
- Melt butter in pan, mix flour, salt and pepper.
- Add to melted butter, pour in milk.
- Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- Add 1 1/2C cheese until melted.
- Put 1/2 Mac in casserole dish.
- Pour 1/2 cheese sauce and repeat layers, top with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered at 350* for 30 minutes.
