Crispy Ice Pickles (Bread And Butter) Recipe
- 1 gallon cucumbers, any size, sliced thin
- 8 sm. onions, sliced
- 2 peppers, sliced; optional
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- Fold in porcelain (or possibly plastic) pan.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 c. pickling salt on top.
- Cover with 3 trays ice cubes; let stand 3 hrs.
- Drain cucumbers.
- Add in to boiling vinegar mix.
- Heat to boiling point, but Don't BOIL.
- Hold temperature 3-5 min.
- Seal in sterile jars.
