Grandma Roses Kielbasa and Sauerkraut
- 1 pound Kielbasa, Sliced
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 whole Large Onion, Chopped
- 1 whole Large Apple, Cored And Diced
- 1 quart Sauerkraut, Rinsed And Drained
- 1 cup Apple Juice
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- Brown kielbasa in oil in dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and saute until onion is translucent.
- Add apples and saute for a minute until they start to soften.
- Add rinsed and drained sauerkraut, apple juice and brown sugar, stir to combine.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
