Easy Microwaved Shumai

  1. Put pork, minced onion, and all ingredients into a plastic bag and rub thoroughly.
  2. Shred the cabbage into thick strips.
  3. Spread thinly on a serving plate without draining the excess water from rinsing.
  4. Now, to wrap up the shumai!
  5. Make a circle with your hand as above.
  6. Place the shumai skin on top.
  7. Then fill it with mixed ingredients from step 1.
  8. Align the dumplings on the cabbage and cover loosely with plastic wrap.
  9. Microwave for about 5 minutes on high, and enjoy.
  10. Because the skin dries up easily, make sure to remove the plastic wrap right before serving.
  11. Serve with vinegar and soy sauce, Japanese mustard, ponzu sauce, or any sauce of your liking.
