Basmati Rice Pilaf Recipe

  1. Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add in the shallots and cook till softened, 1 to 2 min.
  3. Add in the rice and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
  4. Add in the broth, salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, turn the heat to low, cover and cook for 15 min.
  6. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  7. Fluff with a fork when ready to serve.
  8. This recipe yields 6 servings.
