Smoked Pork With Kraut Recipe
- 1 (3 lb.) smoked boneless pork shoulder butt
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 (27 ounce.) can sauerkraut, liquid removed
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 med. apple, pared and diced
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Place flour in 14 x 20 cooking bag.
- Shake to coat inside.
- Place pork in bag.
- Close with twist tie.
- Place bag in 9 x 13 baking pan.
- Puncture 6 small slits in top of bag.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hrs.
- Remove from oven.
- Open bag.
- Combine remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Spoon over and around pork.
- Retie bag.
- Bake for 40 min longer.
