Smoked Sausage Jambalaya Recipe
- 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1/2" slices
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 med. size green pepper, minced
- 1/2 c. minced green onions
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 (28 ounce.) can tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 c. uncooked long grain rice
- Cook sausage till browned; remove sausage and throw away drippings.
- Add in beef, peppers, onions and garlic to pan; brown.
- Drain.
- Add in tomatoes, salt, pepper and sausage.
- Cover, simmer 20 min.
- Add in rice and water to meat mix.
- Cover and cook 25 min or possibly till rice is tender.
