Beef Stew
- 1 1/2 Beef stew meat, cubed
- 3 cup Cubed peeled potatoes
- 3 cup Small onions, sliced
- 2 cup Carrots, sliced
- 6 tbsp All purpose flour
- 2 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Canola oil
- 2 tsp Beef bouillon granules
- 3 tbsp Tomato paste
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, minced
- 2 tsp Dried basil
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 3 tsp Pepper
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Cold water
- Add paprika, pepper, and 4 tbsp of flour into a large bowl, adding in the beef to coat completely
- Oil a Dutch oven over medium heat, slightly browning the beef
- Once the beef is slightly browned, add in the water (bringing it to a boil), bouillon, tomato paste, 1 1/2 tsp basil, 3/4 tsp thyme, 3/4 tsp garlic powder, and bay leaves
- Lower the heat to a simmer, and cover for 1 1/2 hour
- Uncover the Dutch oven, ads in the carrots, potatoes, and onions, and then simmer covered for an additional 30 minutes
- Combine the flour, water, remaining basil, thyme, garlic powder, parsley, and salt in a bowl, and then add it in the Dutch oven
- Bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
- Serve and enjoy :)
