Meat-Wrapped Onigiri For Picnics and Outings!

  1. We make these onigiri with beef and pork.
  2. You can use any kind of thinly-sliced meat you like, but roast (loin) meat is fairly tender.
  3. Mix all the ingredients marked together.
  4. Make the onigiri (rice balls).
  5. The ones in the photo are about 30 g each.
  6. Wrap the onigiri with the meat so that you can't see the rice.
  7. Sprinkle some pepper on the meat to taste.
  8. Heat some oil in a frying pan and put the wrapped onigiri in seam-side down.
  9. Pan-fry over medium heat.
  10. Cook the meat completely while rolling the onigiri around.
  11. Add the combined flavoring ingredients in 2 to 3 batches.
  12. Taste and adjust the amounts as needed.
  13. Finished!
  14. You can freeze them like this.
  15. Heat them up in the microwave when you want to eat them.
