Hot Spiced Cheer

  1. Place cloves, cinnamon, and crystallized ginger on a double layer of cheesecloth.
  2. Gather edges and tie together to make a pouch.
  3. Combine cheescloth pouch, cider, pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, sugar and salt in large stockpot and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
  5. Discard cheesecloth pouch.
  6. Serve with rum, if desired.
