Simple Chinese-style Leek Stir-Fry
- 3 medium Japanese leeks
- 1 tbsp Chicken soup stock granules
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- This recipe can also be used for 1 leek.
- Simply use 1 teaspoon chicken soup stock granules and 1/3 teaspoon sesame oil instead.
- Cut the leek into 3 cm pieces.
- Make sure to cut through the fibers at a right angle; if they are cut on the diagonal, they'll flatten after cooking.
- Begin stir-frying the leeks, starting with the base of the stalk.
- Greasing the pan with sesame oil will produce a divine aroma!
- Just be careful not to add too much.
- Add both the white and green parts and stir-fry until they begin to brown.
- Stop the heat and add the chicken soup stock granules.
- The granules will dissolve in residual heat.
- Eat while piping hot.
- This method is far simpler than grilling.
- They are also delicious with chili pepper!
- Use either consomme or chicken soup stock granules to flavour this "New Onion Soup".
- "Tarako Tamagoyaki Omelette"
