South African Savoury Rice

  1. Pour water into a large pot.
  2. Add all ingredients.
  3. Bring to the boil and simmer 20-30 minutes.
  4. Keep checking to make sure water is above rice.
  5. You may have to add more.
  6. If there is still excess water in the pot pour it out carefully.
  7. Put it back on the turned off stove so excess water evapourates.
  8. Cover and keep warm.

white rice, salt, ground tumeric, ground cinnamon, water, mixed
