Whole Wheat Orange & Craisins Biscuits
- 2 cup Whole wheat flour
- 2 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/3 cup Butter or I can't believe it's not butter
- 1/2 cup Fresh Orange juice
- 1 tsp Orange peel
- 1/4 cup Ground Flax seed
- 1/4 cup Milk or fat free milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- Add all ingredient in a large bowl .
- Mix together well till you can form a ball of soft dough .
- On a floured surface , lightly knead dough with floured hands for 30 seconds or till nearly smooth.
- Lightly roll dough as thin or thick as you like .
- Cut dough with a biscuit cutter or cookie cutter for fun .
- Any size you prefer ..
- Place biscuit close together in a lightly greased baking sheet .
- Brush top with a little bit of butter.
- Bake in a 475 oven for 11 to 13 ( for 2 1/2 inch biscuits ) ( for smaller biscuits 7 to 9 minutes or till fluffy and golden brown )
