Crab-Apple Jelly

  1. Wash crab-apples.
  2. Do not pare.
  3. Remove stems and blossom ends.
  4. Cut in halves.
  5. Remove seeds.
  6. Cover with water.
  7. Cook until soft.
  8. Drain through jelly bag.
  9. Use 23 cup sugar to each cup juice.
  10. Boil rapidly until jelly sheets from spoon.
