Homemade Blueberry Honey Butter

  2. Place room temperature butter onto a large board or clean surface.
  3. Smash it into a flat disk.

  5. Pour blueberries onto the butter and with a paddle or spatula, smash together, making sure to really break up those blueberries and release their juices.

  7. When youve smashed together as best you can, add honey and smash/stir until completely combined.
  8. 4.
  9. Next, add your sea salt (depending on taste) and smash/mix together a bit more.
  10. We went ahead and added the full, doubled amount, because we love the salty-sweet combo!

  12. Scoop butter up and use right away or add it into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  13. Notes: 1.
  14. Makes about 1 1/2 cups worth.

  16. Dont be surprised if more liquid comes out of the berries as it sits.
  17. This is simply due to the fact that salt brings out foods natural liquids.
  18. Just pour out the liquid and give it a good stir before serving.
