Whole Wheat Raisin Nut Bread Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. minced nuts
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 tbsp. melted shortening
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. sour lowfat milk
- Sift and mix first 4 ingredients.
- Add in whole wheat flour, raisins and nuts.
- Combine egg, brown sugar, lowfat milk and melted shortening.
- Add in to mix and stir just sufficient to moisten.
- Don't beat.
- Bake in 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch loaf pan, greased (or possibly 2 small loaf pans) about 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- Smaller pans finish in less time.
