Whole Wheat Raisin Nut Bread Recipe

  1. Sift and mix first 4 ingredients.
  2. Add in whole wheat flour, raisins and nuts.
  3. Combine egg, brown sugar, lowfat milk and melted shortening.
  4. Add in to mix and stir just sufficient to moisten.
  5. Don't beat.
  6. Bake in 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch loaf pan, greased (or possibly 2 small loaf pans) about 1 hour at 350 degrees.
  7. Smaller pans finish in less time.
