Zesty Hummus

  1. Drain garbanzo beans or chick peas, reserving 1/4 cup liquid.
  2. Blend beans, reserved liquid, onion, lemon juice, garlic, basil and liquid hot pepper seasoning in food processor or electric blender until smooth.
  3. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.
  4. Garnish with basil leaves if desired.
  5. Serve as dip with crackers.
