rotel tomatoes homemade
- 1 1/2 quart peeled, chopped , and seeded tomatoes
- 12 hot chilli peppers diced or you can use 12 jalapenos
- 1 tsp salt
- put one quart of water in a sauce pan.
- mark or remember where the water level Is on the pan.this Is because when you finished cooking , this is the level it will cook down to.
- put the diced vegetables in the pan and add the salt.
- simmer until it has been reduced to one quart.
- note: you can adjust the amount if peppers to your liking.
- hot, medium, or mild flavor.
- note: the rotel cans in the store are 10 oz cans.
- you can freeze what is left if the rotel in 10 oz separate containers.
- this would make it easy to grab when a recipe is calling for a can of rotel.
