Sweet Mashed Yam Dessert
- 6 cups chopped, boiled yams
- 1 cup butter/margarine
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup brown suger
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Boil your yams in a pot, peeled.
- Boil 30 minutes or untill tender when poked through with fork.
- Strain, and then put back in pot.
- Add butter and mash.
- Stir after mashing well to make thick.
- Add condensed milk, suger, salt vanilla and eggs.
- Mash/stir well.
- Pour mixture into a large dish, and bake for 1 hour, or until thin knife poked down into center comes out clean.
