Cashew Teriyaki Green Beans

  1. In a sm bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, honey & butter.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Place water in a 6 qt saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add lemon juice & green beans.
  6. Boil until bright green (about 5 min).
  7. While the beans are cooking, put ice water in a bowl.
  8. When the beans are done cooking, drain them in a colander.
  9. Plunge them in the ice water & then drain them again.
  10. Set aside.
  11. Fry bacon in a lg skillet.
  12. Cook until crisp.
  13. Remove bacon & leave drippings.
  14. Dry bacon w/paper towels.
  15. Crumble it & set aside.
  16. Add the peppers & onions to drippings & saute for 2 minute.
  17. Add beans, cashews & bacon to the skillet.
  18. Toss gently.
  19. Add teriyaki mixture & toss again.
  20. Cook on low until warmed thru (about 5 min).
  21. Easy to double for a larger crowd.
