Beef Pie And Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

  1. Combine dry ingredients; cut in Crisco till mix resembles coarse meal.
  2. Add in buttermilk; stir till dough holds together.
  3. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface.
  4. Knead lightly 8 to 10 folds.
  5. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
  6. Cut with floured cutter.
  7. Heat beef stew till bubbly; pour into 2 qt casserole or possibly oven-proof skillet.
  8. Place biscuits atop.
  9. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 min.
  10. 4 to 6 servings.
