Slow-Cooker Creamy Lentil Soup
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 large onion, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 qt. (4 cups) water
- 2 cans (14.5 oz. each) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing
- 1 lb. dry lentils, rinsed
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed, softened
- Melt butter in medium skillet on medium heat.
- Add onions; cook 8 min.
- or until tender, stirring frequently.
- Add to slow cooker.
- Stir in all remaining ingredients except cream cheese; cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours) until lentils are tender.
- Add cream cheese; whisk until cream cheese is completely melted and soup is well blended.
