Chicken Style Croquettes Recipe
- 12 ounce. frzn Chicken Style
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 tbsp. onion, grated
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. skim lowfat milk
- 1-2 c. finely minced celery
- 2 tbsp. finely minced parsley
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. cool cooked rice
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Saute/fry grated onion in butter, stir in flour till smooth, gradually add in lowfat milk.
- Stir to keep smooth.
- Cook till thick.
- Cold.
- Defrost and grind chicken.
- Add in remaining ingredients to Chicken Style.
- Add in white sauce.
- Mix well.
- Shape croquette mix into cone shapes, using 1/3 c. each.
- Bake on greased baking sheet in oven at 350 degrees.
- Arrange in casserole dish.
- Add in Chicken Style gravy to cone up to 1/3 distance on croquette.
- Bake 20 min in 350 degree oven.
- Serves 10.
