Meat Pie With Catsup Biscuits
- 1 lb hamburger
- 2 tablespoons drippings
- 12 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup canned tomato
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- salt
- 1 (15 ounce) can lima beans
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- Brown meat in drippings; add onion, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.
- Drain lima beans and heat with margarine.
- Fold the two mixtures together and pour into a greased casserole.
- Make small amount of biscuit dough and roll out into a square 1/4" thick.
- Spread from center to edge with catsup and roll like a jelly roll.
- Cut into 1" slices and place over meat mixture.
- Bake in 425 degree oven for 25-30 minutes, or until biscuits are done.
- SHORTCUT: Use canned buttermilk biscuits; press together and spread with catsup; roll and slice as above.
