Classic Texas Tea
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup, recipe follows
- 1/2 ounce vodka
- 1/4 ounce gin
- 1/4 ounce rum
- 1/2 ounce tequila
- 1/2 ounce whiskey
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- Splash cola
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- For the sour mix: Stir together the lemon juice and Simple Syrup in a glass.
- For the Texas tea: Fill a Collins glass with ice.
- Pour in the vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, triple sec and 1 ounce of the sour mix.
- Top off with a splash of cola.
- Stir once with a bar spoon and serve.
- No garnish needed.
- Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan.
- Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves.
- (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.)
- Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
