Apple Pie That's Good For You Recipe
- Ready-made crust-9-inch pie
- 4 c. Thinly sliced, peeled cored Apples very green and sour
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Grnd cloves
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 c. Granola
- 1/4 c. Raisins
- 1 Tbsp. Unsalted margarine
- Preheat oven to 400.
- In a glass mixing bowl,mixed the apples with the lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, granola and raisins.
- Fill the unbaked pie shell with the apple mix.
- Dot top with margerine.
- Place the pie in the oven and bake for 15 min.
- Lower oven to 350 and bake another 20-25 min.
- Remove pie from oven and let cold.
- If you like, make a lattice topping for the pie.
