Basic Dough Recipe

• 1 c. butter, softened
• 1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour

1. Mix butter, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
2. Blend in flour.
3. Divide dough in half.
