Caramel Pretzel Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Combine butter, sugar, and powdered sugar with electric mixer.
  3. Add in vanilla and beat until combined.
  4. Then add in flower and beat until well combined and a dough forms.
  5. Grease an 8 x 8 pan and press 1/3 of the dough into the bottom to make the crust.
  6. Put remained of the dough in the refrigerator while the crust bakes.
  7. Bake crust about 25 minutes until its slightly golden.
  8. Take out of the oven and add caramel sauce.
  9. Let it sit for a minute to warm up and them smooth it around the entire crust evenly.
  10. Crunch or cut pretzels into small pieces and add then on top of the caramel sauce.
  11. Try not to add all the crumbs too, just the little sticks.
  12. Crumble the rest of the dough onto the top of the pretzels, pressing down slightly half way through.
  13. Bake for another 35 minutes or so, until the caramel is bubbling and the crust is slightly golden.
