Sauteed Chicken With Cream Sauce Recipe
- 2 whole chicken breast, split, boned and skinned
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 c. celery, sliced
- 1 sm. onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dry basil, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon dry thyme, crushed
- 1/4 c. sherry or possibly white wine
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 1/2 c. (8 ounce.) tri-colored corkscrew noodles, cooked, liquid removed
- Cut chicken into strips.
- Heat butter in large skillet; add in chicken, vegetables and seasonings.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 10 min or possibly till chicken is tender.
- Add in 2 Tbsp.
- wine; simmer 5 min.
- In saucepan combine cream cheese, lowfat milk and remaining wine.
- Stir over low heat till smooth.
- Serve by placing noodles on a serving platter.
- Top with chicken mix then cream cheese mix.
- Serves 4 to 6.
