Apple Dumplings

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. Roll each crust on floured board into 10x8-inch rectangle.
  3. Cut each crust into 4 rectangles.
  4. Place apple in center of each pastry piece.
  5. Bring corners of pastry to top of apple, pinching seams to seal well.
  6. Place on lightly greased baking sheet or in 12x8-inch baking dish.
  7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Heat syrup and cinnamon in small saucepan 5 to 10 minutes over medium heat or until hot.
  9. (Do not bring to boil.)
  10. Serve warm dumplings with hot syrup mixture and whipped topping.
