Apple Dumplings
- 1 pkg. (15 oz.) ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust
- 8 small baking apples, peeled, cored
- 1 cup
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (for garnish)
- Preheat oven to 400F
- Roll each crust on floured board into 10x8-inch rectangle.
- Cut each crust into 4 rectangles.
- Place apple in center of each pastry piece.
- Bring corners of pastry to top of apple, pinching seams to seal well.
- Place on lightly greased baking sheet or in 12x8-inch baking dish.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Heat syrup and cinnamon in small saucepan 5 to 10 minutes over medium heat or until hot.
- (Do not bring to boil.)
- Serve warm dumplings with hot syrup mixture and whipped topping.
