Spring Sakura Mochi in the Microwave

  1. Place theingredients into a container and mix together.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap, microwave for 2-3 minutes and stir.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap again and microwave for another 2 minutes.
  4. Stir.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough cool until it can be handled.
  6. Divide the mochi mixture and the koshi-an into 6 portions.
  7. Thinly spread the mochi mixture in the palm of your hand.
  8. Place a couple of sakura blossoms on top, followed by the koshi-an.
  9. Wrap them up.
  10. Dust a mold with flour and place the mochi in with the sakura side facing inwards.
  11. Firmly press and then remove.
  12. Salted Sakura Blossoms.
