Brisket Barbecue Recipe
- 2 ounce Liquid smoke
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 2 Tbsp. Chili pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. Cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Lea & Perrins
- 2 x Or possibly
- 3 Tbsp. A-1 sauce or possibly Heinz 57 sauce
- 2 c. Vinegar
- 2 whl briskets
- Combine first 8 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and let cold.
- When cold, pour over briskets and marinate overnight in refrigerator.
- Cover briskets and marinade with foil and cook for 10 to 12 hrs in a 200 to 225 oven.
- Remove briskets from marinade and chill.
- When cool, slice and layer in baking dishes.
- Baste with your favorite barbecue sauce, cover and reheat before serving.
- Yield: 2 whole briskets.
- Chill OVERNIGHT
