red pepper cajun style gulf shrimp (bd style)
- 1 1/2 cup EVOO
- 2 clove garlic
- 5 tbsp cajun spice
- 2 tbsp soy
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped
- 3 tbsp lemon juice and zest
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 lb fresh, peeled gulf shrimp
- 2 tbsp dried celery flakes
- 1/4 cup red pepper seeds (optional)..lol
- pre heat grill...oven is optional to 450ish
- in a large bowl, bring together the oil,garlic,cajun spice,soy,parsley,lemon juice/zest,brown sugar,celery flakes and red pepper seeds.
- add shrimp, toss.
- let sit in the fridge for a few hours...
- if grilling..which you should...place shrimp on skewers and grill for 4-6 minutes on each side.
- if you choose to use the oven, try the broiler.
- it works great!
- baking, place on cookie and bake 7-10 mins, flipping once...
- serve with rice and corn on the cob...
