Basic Cooked Rice Prudhomme Recipe
- 2 c. Uncooked rice (see note)
- 2 1/2 c. Basic stock (Prudhomme)
- 1 1/2 tsp Onions, minced very fine
- 1 1/2 tsp Celery, minced very fine
- 1 1/2 tsp Bell peppers,minced vy fine
- 1 1/2 tsp Unsalted butter (preferred)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Garlic pwdr
- 1 x Healthy pinch white pepper
- 1 x Healthy pinch black pepper
- 1 x Healthy pinch cayenne pepper
- In a 5x9x2-1/2-inch loaf pan, combine all ingredients; mix well.
- Seal pan snuggly with aluminum foil.
- Bake at 350F till rice is tender, about 1 hour, 10 min.
- Serve immediately.
- However, you can count on the rice staying warm for 45 min and hot for 2 hrs.
- To reheat leftover rice, either use a double boiler or possibly hot the rice in a skillet with unsalted butter.
