Frosted Peanut Marshmallow Crispy Squares

  1. Microwave butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 45 seconds or until melted.
  2. Add marshmallows; mix to coat.
  3. Microwave 1-1/2 minutes or until marshmallows are smooth when stirred, stirring after 45 seconds.
  4. Blend in peanut butter.
  5. Immediately add cereal and peanuts; toss until well coated.
  6. Press mixture into greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  7. Microwave chocolate and butterscotch chips in small microwavable bowl 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until smooth when stirred, stirring every 30 seconds.
  8. Pour over cereal; spread to cover.
  9. Refrigerate.
  10. Cut into squares.
  11. Conventional: Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan on low heat.
  12. Add marshmallows; stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth.
  13. Blend in peanut butter; remove from heat.
  14. Stir in cereal and peanuts until well coated.
  15. Press mixture into greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  16. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in saucepan on very low heat; stir constantly until just melted.
  17. Pour over cereal; spread to cover.
  18. Refrigerate.
  19. Cut into squares.
