Adobo sa Dilaw (Pork stewed in vinegar, garlic and turmeric)

  1. Heatthe cooking oil in a cooking pot.
  2. Put in the garlic and then cook until the color turns light brown
  3. Add the onion.
  4. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Put in the sliced turmeric or (turmeric powder), peppercorn, bayleaves..Cook for 10 to 15 seconds.
  6. Add the pork slices.
  7. Cook while stirring once in a while until the pork turns light brown (about 5 mins.)
  8. Put the water.
  9. LET boil
  10. Cover the pot then simmer for 30 to 40 mins.
  11. (Add additional water as necessary)
  12. Pour in the vinegar.
  13. Allow the liquid to re-boil.
  14. Stir and then add the sugar.
  15. Cookfor a minute more.
  16. Transfer to a serving plate.
  17. Serve with steamed Rice.
  18. Enjoy!
