Amaretto- Almond cake
- 1 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 packages 3-oz cream,softened
- 2 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp almond liqueur
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour sifted
- 6 large eggs
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds (optional)
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Beat butter and cream cheese until creamy.
- Add sugar a little at a time beating until light and fluffy.
- add liqueur and vanilla beat until blended.
- gradually add flour to butter mixture, beating at low speed.
- add eggs one at a time just until blended after each one.
- sprinkle almonds over bottom of greased.
- and floured bundt cake pan.
- pour batter into pan.
- bake for one hour and five minutes.
- during the last ten minutes of bake time i make my glaze.
- Almond Amaretto glaze.
- bring three-quarter cup sugar, six tbsp.
- butter,one quarter cup almond liqueur 2 tbsp water to a boil in a small sauce pan.
- stirring often; reduce heat to a medium low, and boil.
- approx.
- 3 min, remove from heat use immediately.
- pour over warm cake let it soak in as it cools.
