Amaretto- Almond cake

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Beat butter and cream cheese until creamy.
  3. Add sugar a little at a time beating until light and fluffy.
  4. add liqueur and vanilla beat until blended.
  5. gradually add flour to butter mixture, beating at low speed.
  6. add eggs one at a time just until blended after each one.
  7. sprinkle almonds over bottom of greased.
  8. and floured bundt cake pan.
  9. pour batter into pan.
  10. bake for one hour and five minutes.
  11. during the last ten minutes of bake time i make my glaze.
  12. Almond Amaretto glaze.
  13. bring three-quarter cup sugar, six tbsp.
  14. butter,one quarter cup almond liqueur 2 tbsp water to a boil in a small sauce pan.
  15. stirring often; reduce heat to a medium low, and boil.
  16. approx.
  17. 3 min, remove from heat use immediately.
  18. pour over warm cake let it soak in as it cools.
