Salty and Sweet Fried Burdock Furikake Rice Sprinkles
- 2 Burdock root
- 1 tsp Vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Roasted sesame seeds (white)
- Take the skin off the burdock and cut it into small pieces.
- Put it in a food processor.
- Don't mince it too much because it tastes better when it has the burdock texture.
- Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan and fry the burdock well on a medium flame.
- Add all ingredients and stew until the liquid boils away.
- When the liquid has boiled away, add sesame oil and roasted sesame and mix it.
- Then it is ready!
- These furikake rice sprinkles are nutritious and you can put them on rice, or mix them with rice and make an onigiri with them.
- You can make a special dish if you roll use in egg rolls.
- It is useful too for bento lunch box!
