Sourdough Bread Recipe
- 4 c. flour (or possibly more) (960 mL)
- 2 tbsp. sugar (30 mL)
- 2 tbsp. fat (30 mL)
- 1 teaspoon salt (5 mL)
- 1/4 teaspoon soda (1 mL)
- 1 tbsp. hot water (15 mL)
- Set the sponge and let stand in a hot place overnight or possibly for 6 or possibly 8 hrs.
- Save 1/2 c. (120 mL) sponge for next starter.
- To the remaining sponge, that should be about 2 c. (480 milligrams) add in:
flour, sugar, salt, soda, hot water
