Drop Doughnut Holes

  1. Beat eggs until light; add sugar, salt, oil, extract, and nutmeg and mix well.
  2. Mix flour with baking powder; add alternatively with milk to egg mixture.
  3. Drop by 1/2 teaspoonsful into deep hot oil and fry approximately 2-1/2 minutes, or until brown.
  4. Doughnuts will rise to the surface, so continue submerging them to assure even cooking.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Shake with sugar in a bag.
