Healthy Southwest Turkey Burgers
- 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey
- 1/2 whole Red Onion, Divided Use
- 2 Tablespoons Adobo Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt And Pepper
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 pinch Cumin
- 2 slices Cheddar Cheese
- 1 whole Tomato, Sliced
- 1 whole Avocado, Sliced
- 1/4 cups Sour Cream
- 1/4 cups Salsa
- 4 whole Hamburger Buns
- Heat large skillet or cast iron skillet over medium high heat.
- In a large bowl combine ground turkey, 1/4 of the red onion diced, 1-2 tablespoons of adobo sauce (depending on desired heat), salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cumin.
- Mix until incorporated and form into patties.
- Place patties into skillet and allow to cook on each side for 4-5 minutes, until burgers are cooked through and slightly firm.
- When burgers look done, place half a piece of cheddar cheese on each patty and let cook for another minute, or until cheese is melted.
- Dress burger with avocado, tomato, remaining red onion sliced and dollop with sour cream and salsa.
- Serve and enjoy
